The 2018 Annual Shark Tank RHS hosted by Ms. Malsbury. It is an opportunity for students to showcase their entrepreneurial idea in front a bunch of business owners and potential investors from in and around the Rochester community. To be part of shark tank students write a business plan in the Small business and entrepreneurial class, however it is apparent that many students draw upon previous knowledge and experience they have explored in other business classes and communications classes at RHS. Many of the sharks make significant donations in the form of gift certificates, internships, sponsorship and all expenses paid entrepreneurial camps. People were very generous. The students individually or in a partnership present their idea and then answer questions on the spot. This is then followed up with a series of negotiations and ultimately an offer. The atmosphere in the room is electric with banter, advice and assurances. Every year Ms. Malsbury's students totally exceed her expectations and give her the desire to keep instilling value in what the business department is providing for our students. A big thank you to Chris Guyor for his help with the video production, Kristin Dunneback with location support in the school store.
