In Marketing and Advertising, students learned concepts throughout the semester including Target Market, the 4 P's of Marketing and Marketing Information and Research. We collaborated with a local Food Truck Business, The Little Donut Factory, to learn all about the business of a food truck and conducted a Lunch Hour Food Truck Sale. Students created advertisements including promotional flyers and social media and participated in the preparation and personal selling during the lunch sale. Finally students applied their learning to a FOOD TRUCK WARS project where they partnered and created their own Food Truck Business. They each developed a menu with unique products and a specific color scheme, researched and developed pricing, selected a location where they would typically park and sell their product and finally considered promotions and advertising for their business. On the final day of Food Truck Wars, we displayed our Trucks for students to "sell" their business and earn a "tip" in the form of monopoly money from RHS staff and students based on their selection of their favorite Food Truck.
